About Dr S Ahiaku

I realise that this is a slightly unconventional way to present a CV. In truth, this page exists because I am ready for my next challenge. I want to become part of a team who have honed their skills, pay attention to the details and want to provide seamless care to their patients across the dental disciplines. I want to be challenged to become better, and I want to do that alongside a motivated team who want to do the same. I believe the experience and the skills I have developed will be an asset to you both in the short and long-term.

Over the last eight years I have worked in primary, secondary, and tertiary care settings providing care for a wide spectrum of patients. The diversity of skills needed to excel in each of these environments has made me a well-rounded and confident clinician.  I am passionate about providing excellent care in a primary care setting, whilst making complex procedures accessible and achievable for patients in general practice. As a result of my MClinDent, I have been providing an increasing amount of advanced care to my patients as I have progressed. In addition, I have had experience working with a multidisciplinary team to provide 360 care for patients as part of the Maxillofacial Prosthodontics Team at the Liverpool Dental Hospital utilising a combination of implants, orthodontics and prosthodontic techniques.

Outside of my work in surgery, I run the popular Mentors4Dentists platform along with a colleague, which provides training and support to new graduates. In addition, I am heavily involved in my community through my church where I lead the youth group, and as part of my role as Vice-President in the Ghanaian Doctors & Dentists Association UK.
